The Winchester Passion

The Winchester Passion was the largest and most ambitious street theatre performance to ever be staged in Winchester and took place on Good Friday 2008. It involved over 1500 people, attracted crowds of 12,000 and was given substantial news coverage on both radio and TV.
Impact Publications, a Kings’ Enterprise company, played a crucial role in the publicity for the event by producing a total of six all weather banners (ranging in dimensions from 1mX8m-1mx4m) which advertised The Passion around the city in such prominent places as the High Street, the Cathedral and a number of other buildings in the city centre.
This was a new venture for Impact as they had not produced banners before and had not attempted printing and reproduction of material on such a large scale. Did this stop them? Far from it! The management team showed great resourcefulness, commitment and creativity to produce products of which any High Street printing company would have been proud and at a fraction of the cost! The team demonstrated professionalism of the highest level and took the increase of the order from one banner to six in an extremely tight timescale, in their stride. They also went the extra mile to repair one of the banners when it was damaged by freak weather conditions – customer service at its best! The publicity team for The Passion, many of whom are themselves business people, were extremely impressed with the quality of product and service received.
The success of this new product area does not stop there. Impact has since received a number of orders for banners from other organisations and has been able to invest in specialist machinery to speed up production.
I congratulate the company on its teamwork, conscientiousness and determination to succeed. Well done and many thanks from a very satisfied customer!
